Privacy Policy

Studio FiftyEight ("we", "us") sets out this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in connection with the functional training mobile app "TeeGee" (the "App") provided by us.

1. Information We Collect

The App stores the following information on the device or, where the user opts in, on an external service.

1.1 Information stored on the device

  • Workout records (date, sections, results, notes)
  • 1RM (One Rep Max) values and history
  • Theme preference and other app settings

This information is stored in a local database on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Google account information (only when you grant access)

When you grant Google account access in order to use the YouTube upload feature or the Google Drive backup feature, we obtain your email address and call the relevant Google APIs within the scope of the permissions you have granted. Credentials (OAuth tokens) are securely stored on your device.

1.3 Billing information

Purchases of premium features are processed through the Google Play billing system and RevenueCat (a subscription state management service). We do not directly receive payment details such as credit card numbers.

1.4 Tools we do not use

The App does not use any analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools (such as Firebase Crashlytics). We do not automatically collect usage data or crash information.

2. Scope of Access to Google User Data

2.1 API scopes used

  • YouTube upload scope: used to upload videos the user has selected to the user's own YouTube channel, set as "unlisted" or "public" by the user.
  • Google Drive file scope: used to save and read back backup files created by our App. The App does not access files it did not create.

2.2 Limited use

Google user data is used only to carry out actions you explicitly trigger inside the App (video upload, Drive backup, Drive restore). It is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train machine learning models.

3. Purpose of Use

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes.

  • Providing the App's features
  • Managing billing for premium features
  • Responding to user inquiries
  • Fixing defects and improving the App

4. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not disclose users' personal information to third parties except as required by law. The following external services are used by the App, and as a result some user information may be processed by those providers in connection with your use of the App.

  • Google (YouTube / Drive / Play Billing) — user authentication and feature delivery
  • RevenueCat — subscription state management

The privacy policy of each service is governed by that provider's terms.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored on the device is retained until you uninstall the App. Uninstalling deletes all on-device data. Backup files on Google Drive are retained until you delete them yourself on Drive.

5.1 Data Deletion Requests

We do not transmit personal data to our servers, and therefore we do not hold any personal data of yours on our side. You can delete data using the following methods.

  • All on-device data: uninstall the App, or use "Delete all data" in the settings screen.
  • Backup files on Google Drive: delete them yourself on Google Drive.
  • Videos uploaded to YouTube: delete them yourself in YouTube Studio.
  • Revoking Google account access: from the App's settings screen, or from your Google Account → "Security" → "Third-party apps with account access".

For deletion requests that cannot be handled by the methods above, or for questions about how your data is handled, please contact fiftyeightbubbles@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days of receipt.

6. User Rights

You can perform the following actions inside the App.

  • Export all data as a backup file
  • Edit or delete individual workout records
  • Disconnect Google account integration (from the settings screen)
  • Delete all on-device data by uninstalling the App

7. Security

The App stores sensitive information such as OAuth tokens in the secure storage provided by the Android operating system (EncryptedSharedPreferences or equivalent). We do not transmit personal data to our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated as needed. We will announce material changes in the App or on this site.
